As the fourth quarter of 2023 comes to a close, we at Sensor Tower have analyzed the performance of the top food delivery applications on the iOS platform in Europe. Our data provides a snapshot of the trends in downloads and active user numbers for these services.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste witnessed fluctuating download numbers throughout Q4, starting with approximately 176K downloads in the last week of September and seeing a decrease to 99K by the year's end. The app's weekly active users showed a peak of nearly 2.9M in mid-October, but this figure had dropped to around 2M by Christmas week.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery also experienced variable download rates, initiating the quarter with 128K downloads and peaking at around 143K in late October. The app closed the year with 123K downloads in the final week of December. Active users reached their highest at approximately 3.8M in late October, but the number tapered to just over 3M by the quarter's end.
For Glovo: Food Delivery and more, downloads started at 80K and saw an increase to 113K in mid-November before settling at around 93K in the last week of December. The weekly active users for Glovo peaked at over 1M in late November, with a slight decline to 922K active users by the end of December.
Wolt Delivery: Food and more downloads began at about 65K and saw a high of 95K in mid-November, eventually decreasing to 63K by the close of the year. The weekly active user count for Wolt showed a steady increase, reaching a high of approximately 532K in mid-November, but concluded the quarter with 458K active users.
Lastly, Deliveroo: Food Delivery App kicked off the quarter with 74K downloads and experienced a rise to 93K downloads in late November. The app ended the year with around 72K downloads in the final week. Deliveroo's active users showed a peak of 1.7M in early December, but this number fell to 1.4M by the end of Q4.
